Dr. Spencer Young
There are many career paths we can pursue in our lives. But I have wanted to be an eye doc since I was in the fifth grade. My dream came true when I attend the Illinois College of Optometry and graduated in 1992 with my doctorate in optometry.

As an Optometric Physician, I diagnose and treat conditions of the human eye and visual system. We fit glasses, contact lenses, and manage the diseases of the eye such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataract. We also provide post-operative co-management care for cataract and laser eye surgery.

In addition to providing state the art care, one of my goals is to treat each patient as I would want to be treated myself. Each member of your family will be treated as if you were a member of our family. It is important to me and my staff that each patient understands completely the status of their ocular health and be knowledgeable about all possible options whether those options are surgical or optical. We take pride in fitting those patients in contact lenses that other doctors have told could not be fit.

Vickie Barry – Dispensing Optician / C.P.O.A.
I started in the optometry field 15 years ago as an optometric technician, since then I have held various positions in the industry. I am a Certified Para Optometric Assistant, and have also completed serving all the hours required for an apprentice optician. My love for glasses and patient care combined led me to pursue a position as an optician. I have an extensive knowledge of the many different types of lenses and frames. I am able to fit patients for glasses no matter what their specific needs may be, including work, sports and leisure. It is my pleasure to serve you by helping you choose the best frame for your physical attributes and personality while choosing the best lenses for your lifestyle.
